Author/Blogger
Lori Keesey discovered her passion for writing at age six, when she wrote and illustrated a very short story about three puppies lost in a hatbox. Her first-grade teacher loved it and encouraged her to continue writing. Many years later, the study of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird rekindled her interest. So captivated by Lee's young protagonist, Scout, Lori wanted to create characters just as engaging as this spunky little girl. Hundreds of novels were read before Lori realized her goal. Her debut novel is expected to publish at the end of 2023.
A former journalist, Lori has written for daily newspapers, trade publications, and magazines and worked for NASA in public outreach for nearly twenty years as a communication consultant. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, where she met her husband, the father of her three boys. Lori was born in Washington, DC, and now calls Walland, Tennessee, home.
