Brian L. Shields is a business development and acquisition expert with 15+ years of experience. Throughout his career he has owned, operated and invested in over 15 industries, and has worked on over $4 billion in various investments. His prior business rollup sold for ~3x its original purchase price, after significant hands-on operational improvements were implemented.

Brian has a track record of managing recurring revenue businesses productively. As a Partner in VIO Management, he successfully acquired and exited Hill & Co Property Management and Pacific Union Property Management, modernizing operations to and elevating customer service during the COVID pandemic.

Previously, as VP of Business Development at Mynd Property
Management, Brian closed 18 acquisitions in 16 markets, scaling the sales team and increasing revenue by 22x, taking the company from 400 units to approximately 10,000 units with over $92.5M in funding and 375 team members.

Brian’s experience spans from Silicon Valley (Head of US Business Development at Funding Circle, IPO 2018 LON:FCH) to Wall Street (Welsh, Carson, Anderson and Stowe, where he acquired and ran Commercial Strategy at Solstas Labs, acquired by Quest Diagnostics).

Brian graduated Magna Cum Laude from Morehouse College with a BA in Business Finance.
