Dr. Hirshorn graduated Summa Cum Laude from The College of New Jersey in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, a minor in chemistry, and a certification to teach biological sciences. He taught biology and anatomy & physiology at his alma mater, Deptford Township High School, in Deptford, NJ, for five years. During his tenure, he also served as Assistant Director of the Spartan Marching Band and as an advisor for several organizations, including the National Honor Society, the Student Government, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Although Dr. Hirshorn thoroughly enjoyed educating others, he felt God calling him to a new career as a Doctor of Chiropractic, where he could serve others through education and functional health care. Dr. Hirshorn attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. As a student, he served as Secretary and President of his class as well as Secretary and President of the Campus Guides. In addition to numerous scholarship awards, he was also selected by his peers and a faculty committee as one of two students from his class to be honored as members of the prestigious Vogt Leadership Society.
Dr. Hirshorn has completed extensive post-doctoral training and is a Board-Certified Chiropractic Neurologist and practitioner of functional medicine. He is always seeking to further his education to better help his patients and is currently pursuing the following: Diplomate status from the American Board of Clinical Nutrition, Board Certification in Neurofeedback from the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance, and Fellowship status from the International Board of Functional Neurology. These specialty fields provide a unique practice paradigm for Dr. Hirshorn, helping his patients with chronic conditions get better results with their care.
