About Me
Hello, I'm Femi Opaneye, and I'm not your typical entrepreneur. My journey has been a rollercoaster ride through law school, a decade in investment banking, and now, as the CEO of Pane Ventures, a startup advisory firm. I've worn many hats and have the battle scars to prove it, but every step has shaped me into the entrepreneur I am today.
A Unique Path to Entrepreneurship:
I didn't follow the traditional path to entrepreneurship. In fact, I was a terrible employee in the corporate world. I scraped by until I couldn't take it anymore and decided to quit. I fell into entrepreneurship full time in September 2014 as I wasn't sure what else to do.
From Banking to Building:
Before Pane Ventures, I spent a decade working for some of the world's top-tier investment banks, including Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, and HSBC. It may sound impressive, but I hated every moment of it. The rigid corporate structure and lack of creativity didn't align with my vision for success. So, I embarked on a journey of exploration, diving into marketing, lead generation, management consulting, and eventually, startup advisory.
