Raygine Francois Profile Photo

Executive Director

Raygine Francois was born and raised in Haiti, her father being retired from the Air Force and her mother a former diplomat. As a teen, her family moved to the States, where she finished her studies and majored in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Photography, Pre-Law, and Paralegal Studies. She believes "if you love what you do, you will never work a day." Her greatest achievement in life was answering God's call to start Pennies for Haiti and diligently working to help every child in need.

Following a mission trip to Haiti in 2009, she knew her purpose was to help disadvantaged children. The 2010 earthquake sealed her life purpose. Weeks following the quake, she created Pennies for Haiti to ensure they could do their best to help with the country's reconstruction. During the first three years, she operated the organization from Florida, and in 2013, God opened the doors for her to move to Port-au-Prince to be the boots on the ground.

Ms. Francois has adopted two boys, aged 11 and 3. With the support of her dedicated staff, she operates a foster home in Coteaux, Haiti. For seven years, they have been parents to fourteen children. The challenges of running a non-profit organization have made her a stronger woman. Her faith has kept her focused on "HOPE," knowing that God is the light at the end of the tunnel. The organization's current goal and passion is to teach Haiti's children how to code and compete in robotic competitions through "Haiti STEM Alliance and Haiti Code Week." Her vision for the organization is clear: to prepare the next generation for their future by embracing technology through coding and robotics. Her greatest desire is to make a difference in the life of at least one child by giving back what God poured into her life.
